OINP Streams

The OINP is divided into several streams under three main categories: Employer Job Offer, Human Capital, and Business. Each stream targets different groups of applicants, from skilled workers and international graduates to entrepreneurs.

1. Employer Job Offer Category

The Employer Job Offer category is designed for individuals who have a job offer from an Ontario employer. This category has three streams:

• Foreign Worker Stream: For workers with a job offer in a skilled occupation (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3).
• International Student Stream: For international graduates with a job offer in a skilled occupation in Ontario.
• In-Demand Skills Stream: For workers with a job offer in specific in-demand occupations in sectors such as agriculture, construction, trucking, and personal support work.

2. Human Capital Category

The Human Capital category focuses on attracting highly skilled workers and international graduates. It includes two main subcategories: Ontario’s Express Entry and International Graduates.

• Ontario’s Express Entry Streams:

  • Human Capital Priorities Stream: For candidates in the Express Entry pool who have the required education, work experience, and language skills to contribute to Ontario’s economy.
  • French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream: For Express Entry candidates who are fluent in both English and French.
  • Skilled Trades Stream: For Express Entry candidates with Ontario work experience in a skilled trade.

• International Graduates:

  • Masters Graduate Stream: For individuals who have obtained a master’s degree from an eligible Ontario university.
  • PhD Graduate Stream: For individuals who have obtained a PhD from an eligible Ontario university.

3. Business Category

The Business category is aimed at entrepreneurs who wish to start or purchase a business in Ontario. The primary stream under this category is:

Entrepreneur Stream: For experienced entrepreneurs with the financial resources to establish a new business or purchase an existing one in Ontario.
